NBA Betting: Bucks, Warriors are Favorites
The Milwaukee Bucks can punch their ticket to the Eastern Conference Finals on Wednesday night as they face the Boston Celtics at home up 3-1 in their second-round playoff series.
Milwaukee took a 3-1 series lead with a 113-101 win in Boston on Monday night as a 1-point underdog on the NBA odds. Giannis Antetokounmpo led the way with a game-high 39 points and 16 rebounds. The win was the third straight both straight up and against the spread for the Bucks, and they also improved to 7-1 SU and ATS in the postseason with their only loss coming at home in Game 1 of this series.
Can Boston pull off an upset on the road in Game 5 to stay alive in the series? Their recent road record should give Boston fans some hope; in their last seven road games the Celtics are 6-1 SU and ATS. At the Bovada Sportsbook the Celtics are a 9-point underdog for Game 5, but that may not be a problem as Boston is 4-1 SU and ATS in its last five games as an underdog.
However, not all the betting trends fall in Boston’s favor. In the last six games between the Bucks and Celtics Milwaukee is 5-1 SU and 4-2 ATS. In Milwaukee, the Bucks are 6-1 SU and 3-4 ATS in their last seven games versus Boston.
Warriors favored hosting Rockets in Game 5
Also on tap Wednesday night, the Houston Rockets and Golden State Warriors clash in California in Game 5 of their second-round series tied 2-2.
Houston tied the series with a 112-108 win in Game 4 as a 1-point home underdog on the NBA odds. James Harden netted a game-high 38 points to go along with 10 rebounds for Houston in the win. For Golden State Kevin Durant scored 34 points and Stephen Curry added 30 points, as the duo combined to score nearly 60 percent of the Warriors' points in the loss.
The home team has won every game of the series so far, while Houston has gone 3-1 ATS. The Warriors are sitting as a 6-point favorite at the Bovada Sportsbook.
The Rockets will need to find a way to win on the road to have a chance in the series, but they are a lousy 1-4 SU and 2-3 ATS in their last five road games.
The Warriors have not been a strong pick for bettors lately at 2-5 ATS in their last seven games. At home they haven’t been much better at 4-2 SU and 3-3 ATS in their last six games, and 8-2 SU and 5-5 ATS in their last 10.
Including the playoffs, the Rockets lead the season-series versus the Warriors at 5-3 SU and 6-2 ATS in eight games.
