NBA Betting: Cavaliers Feeble ATS At Indiana
The NBA weekend slate gets started with three games on Friday night, including an important Game 3 in the series between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Indiana Pacers.
The Cavaliers and Pacers split the first two games of the series in Cleveland, but for bettors Indiana won both games against the spread. That could continue as the ATS trends for Cleveland in Indiana are not good. Cleveland is 1-5 ATS in its last six in Indiana and 2-9-1 ATS in the last 12.
The Raptors-Wizards series heads to Washington on Friday night with Toronto up 2-0. Toronto also covered the spread in both wins, improving to 4-1 SU and ATS in its last five vs the Wizards. The Raptors are also 5-1 SU and 4-2 ATS in their last six games in Washington, but overall they’re a disappointing 1-5 ATS in their last six on the road.
Also on Friday night, the Boston Celtics carry a 2-0 series lead into Game 3 against the Milwaukee Bucks. In Game 1, Boston was only a 1-point favorite at Bovada Sportsbook but strolled to an easy 120-106 win. In Game 2, the oddsmaker bumped the Celtics up to a 4-point favorite and they won 113-107.
After taking the first two games, the Celtics have won five straight ATS vs the Bucks and they’re 7-1 ATS in their last eight games in Milwaukee. For totals bettors, the OVER looks pretty tempting in this series. Both games have gone OVER so far, Boston has posted six straight OVERs and eight of their last nine, while Milwaukee is 9-1 OVER in its last 10.
On Saturday there are four games on the schedule, but we’ll focus on two of them – the Houston Rockets at Minnesota Timberwolves, and Oklahoma City Thunder at Utah Jazz.
Houston won both games at home to take a 2-0 series lead while going 1-1 ATS. Houston has now won eight straight vs Minnesota at 5-3 ATS. Betting against Houston ATS on the road could be profitable, as the Rockets are 2-5-1 ATS in their last eight road games.
The Thunder and Jazz split the first two games of their series both SU and ATS. Even with the split, the Thunder are 7-2 SU and 6-3 ATS in their last nine vs Utah. The Jazz have won four straight at home SU, but they’re 2-5 ATS in their last seven. The Thunder’s last eight games in Utah have all gone UNDER the posted total.
