NBA Betting: First Plays Worst In West Contest
The Los Angeles Lakers appear to have an easy win within their grasp Thursday night when they visit the Golden State Warriors.
The conference-leading Lakers head into Thursday night NBA action on a six-game winning streak with a 4-2 record against the spread.
The NBA-worst Warriors have dropped seven straight at 2-5 ATS. Golden State is 2-12 SU and 6-8 ATS in its last 14 and is no better at home, losing seven in a row at 1-6 ATS.
In two matchups with the Warriors this season, the Lakers are 2-0 SU and 1-1 ATS. They last met up on February 5 when the Lakers won 125-120 as a 14-point road favorite at Bovada Sportsbook. Prior to this season, the Warriors had dominated this matchup with a 10-1 SU record and 6-5 ATS mark in their previous 11 against Los Angeles.
Kings have 4 underdog wins in last 7 road games
Also in the Western Conference on Thursday night, the Oklahoma City Thunder play host to the Sacramento Kings.
The Thunder have won four straight at 3-1 ATS and they’re 8-2 SU and 6-4 ATS in their last 10.
Sacramento has won three in a row SU and ATS and is 6-2 SU and ATS in the last eight. On the road the Kings are 5-2 SU and ATS in their last seven, with four of those wins coming as the underdog.
The Thunder and Kings have split the season series 1-1, but the Thunder are 2-0 ATS. They last met up on January 29 and Oklahoma City rolled to a 120-100 win as a 2.5-point road favorite. However, in their last eight games at home against the Kings, the Thunder are a lame 1-7 ATS.
Trail Blazers have had Pacers’ number
Finally on Thursday, the Portland Trail Blazers will try to extend their recent dominance over the Indiana Pacers when they travel to Indianapolis.
Portland is slumping right now with a 1-4 SU record and 0-5 ATS mark in its last five. On the road the Blazers have lost four straight at 1-3 ATS and they’re 1-6 SU and 2-5 ATS in their last seven.
The Pacers are 3-1 SU and ATS in their last four after previously losing six straight at 1-5 ATS. At home Indiana is a disappointing 2-5 SU and ATS in its last seven, all as the favorite.
On January 26, Portland defeated Indiana 139-129 as a 3-point home favorite. That was Portland’s fifth straight win over Indiana both SU and ATS. In their last 11 against the Pacers, the Trail Blazers are 10-1 SU and 9-2 ATS.
