NBA Finals Game 6 Betting Odds Preview
The Golden State Warriors are one win away from winning the NBA championship as they face the Boston Celtics in Game 6 on Thursday night up 3-2 in the series.
Golden State took the lead in the NBA Finals by winning 104-94 in Game 5 as a 4-point favorite on Monday night. Andrew Wiggins stepped up to lead the Warriors with 26 points and 13 rebounds. Klay Thompson added 21 points while Stephen Curry has his first off-night of the championship series with just 16 points, shooting 0-for-9 from three-point range.
Jayson Tatum led Boston with 27 points and 10 rebounds in the Game 5 loss. Boston went through hot and cold shooting stretches throughout the night and committed 18 turnovers.
Celtics favored to extend series on home court
With the series returning to Boston for Game 6, the Celtics are 3.5-point favorites at Bovada Sportsbook. The Celtics and Warriors split the first two games of the series in Boston both straight up and against the spread. In Game 3, Boston won 116-100 as a 3.5-point favorite, while Golden State countered with a 107-97 victory in Game 4 as a 4-point underdog.
Throughout the playoffs, Boston is 14-9 SU and ATS. The Celtics have been a bad bet at home in the playoffs, going 6-5 SU and 5-6 ATS. However, when favored in the playoffs, Boston is 8-5 SU and 7-6 ATS.
Warriors 2-2 SU and ATS as playoff underdog
Golden State boasts a 15-6 SU record and a 12-9 ATS mark in the playoffs. Four of the six losses have come on the road where they’re 4-5 SU and 3-6 ATS. Golden State has only been listed as an underdog four times in the playoffs this year and has gone 2-2 SU and ATS.
In seven matchups between Golden State and Boston this season, the Warriors are 4-3 SU and 3-3-1 ATS. In Boston, the Celtics are 4-3 SU and 4-2-1 ATS in their last seven vs the Warriors.
With Golden State one win away from clinching the series, they are -350 favorites in the series odds at Bovada. The Celtics are +275 underdogs to come back and win the series.
Green prop leaning to more points than fouls
One other interesting prop the Bovada oddsmakers have come up with heading into Game 6 is whether Warriors forward Draymond Green will have more points or personal fouls in the NBA Finals. The points option is favored at -160, while personal fouls is listed at +120. Through five games, Green has committed 24 fouls and scored 25 points.
