NCAAB Betting: Bulldogs Stare Down Pirates

Wednesday night’s lone ranked matchup is a Big East showdown between the No. 21 Butler Bulldogs and the No. 16 Seton Hall Pirates.

Neither side has been a profitable pick for bettors lately. Butler is coming off a 73-66 upset loss to the Georgetown Hoyas as an 11.5-point favorite at Bovada Sportsbook. The loss dropped the Bulldogs to 1-8-1 against the spread in their last 10, during which they’re 4-6 straight up.

Seton Hall was a 1-point favorite vs the Providence Friars last time out and lost 74-71. The Pirates are 2-5-1 ATS in their last eight and at home they’ve lost three in a row ATS.

The Bulldogs and Pirates met up at Butler on January 15 and the Pirates came away with a 78-70 win as a 4.5-point underdog. Seton Hall is 5-2 SU and 6-1 ATS in its last seven vs Butler. However, at home to the Bulldogs, the Pirates are 1-5 ATS in their last six.

Duke 0-5 ATS in last 5 meetings with NC State

Also on tap Wednesday night, the No. 6-ranked Duke Blue Devils visit the unranked North Carolina State Wolfpack.

Duke has won seven straight following a 94-60 rout of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish as a 12.5-point favorite. Even with that cover, Duke is only 3-4 ATS during its winning streak.

The Wolfpack lost to the Boston College Eagles 71-68 as a 4-point favorite last time out, dropping them to 2-4 SU and ATS in their last six.

This is the first matchup between Duke and NC State this season. In their last five games against the Wolfpack, the Blue Devils are 3-2 SU and 0-5 ATS, all as a favorite. At home against Duke, the Wolfpack are 4-2 SU and ATS in their last six, all as an underdog.

Auburn beat Georgia by 22 last month
