NFL Week 15 Betting Preview and Analysis
Riding a five-game winning streak straight up and against the spread, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers get what may be their biggest test of the season in Week 15 when they visit the Dallas Cowboys.
Not surprisingly Tampa Bay is a 7-point underdog at the Bovada sportsbook against Dallas. Last week the Buccaneers defeated the New Orleans Saints 16-11 as a 2-point favorite to improve to 8-5 SU and ATS on the season. Being listed as a road underdog may not be that bad for Tampa Bay, though, as they have won their lost four road games SU and ATS, all as the underdog.
Dallas is coming off their second loss of the season after falling to the New York Giants 10-7 as a 3.5-point favorite. That snapped an 11-game winning streak and was their third straight loss ATS.
The Cowboys are 5-1 SU and 4-2 ATS in their last six versus the Buccaneers. At home Dallas is 9-1 SU in their last 10 versus Tampa Bay.
After upsetting Dallas the Giants can stop another team’s winning streak when the host the Detroit Lions. The Giants are 7-1 SU and 6-2 ATS in their last eight games. New York is a 4-point home favorite at Bovada and they’ve won five straight at home at 4-1 ATS.
Detroit is on a five-game winning streak after edging the Chicago Bears 20-17 as a 7.5-point favorite last week. With the win Detroit is also 8-1 SU and 7-2 ATS in their last nine.
The visitor in this matchup has been a solid play at 7-2 SU and 8-1 ATS in their last nine. Detroit is also 5-1 ATS in their last six games at New York.
The suddenly red-hot Green Bay Packers will try to keep their playoff hopes alive this weekend with what looks like a cupcake matchup with Chicago.
The Packers have won their last three SU and ATS after downing the Seattle Seahawks 38-10 as a 3-point underdog. They’re 6.5-point road favorites against Chicago, which may not bode well as they have lost their last two games SU and three straight ATS when favored on the road.
Chicago lost to Detroit last week, but won ATS and have a four-game ATS winning streak. In Week 7 the Bears lost to Green Bay 26-10 as a 7.5-point road underdog. The Packers have dominated this matchup at 11-2 SU and 10-3 ATS in their last 13 versus Chicago.
