NFL Week 16 Betting Odds Preview

With Christmas falling on a Sunday this year, there are a number of Saturday games on the Week 16 schedule, including an NFC East clash between the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys.

At Bovada Sportsbook, the Cowboys are 4.5-point home favorites. Dallas is coming off a 40-34 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars as a 4-point favorite. With that loss, the Cowboys dropped to 2-4 against the spread in their last six games. At home, Dallas has won seven straight with a 5-2 ATS record.

Philadelphia has won five straight following last week’s 25-20 win over the Chicago Bears as an 8.5-point favorite. On the road, the Eagles have won seven straight, but they’re only 2-5 ATS. As an underdog, they’ve lost five straight.

In Week 6, Philadelphia defeated Dallas 26-17 as a 6.5-point favorite. In Dallas, the Cowboys have won four straight against the Eagles both straight up and ATS.

Vikings host Giants coming off historical comeback

Also on Saturday, the Minnesota Vikings host the New York Giants as 3.5-point favorites.

Last week, Minnesota escaped with a 39-36 overtime win over the Indianapolis Colts as a 3.5-point favorite after erasing a 33-point deficit. At home, the Vikings are 8-1 SU and 5-4 ATS in their last nine, and as a favorite they’ve won 13 straight with an 8-4-1 ATS record.

The Giants upset the Washington Commanders 20-12 as 4-point underdogs last week. The Giants are 5-1 ATS in their last six road games. As an underdog, they’re 8-2 ATS in their last 10.

In this matchup, the Vikings have won three straight both SU and ATS, and they’re 7-2 SU and 6-3 ATS in the last nine games.

Niners touchdown favorites to extend winning streak

In another Christmas Eve contest, the red-hot San Francisco 49ers are 7-point home favorites vs the Commanders.

San Francisco has won seven straight with a 6-1 ATS record following last week’s 21-13 win over the Seattle Seahawks as a 3-point favorite. At home, the 49ers have been nearly unbeatable lately at 10-1 SU and 9-2 ATS in their last 11 games.

The Commanders have lost their last two games ATS, but they’re 6-2-1 ATS in their last nine. On the road, Washington is 4-0-1 SU and 4-1 ATS in the last five. They’re also 3-0-1 ATS in their last four as an underdog.

The last time the 49ers and Commanders met up in 2020, Washington won 23-15 as a 3-point underdog. In their last six games in San Francisco, the Commanders are 3-3 SU and 3-1-2 ATS.
