NFL Week 17 Betting Odds Preview

Divisional matchups that could decide division champs and playoff spots highlight the Week 17 schedule starting with an AFC East clash between the Miami Dolphins and the New England Patriots.

Miami has been struggling lately with four straight losses following last week’s 26-20 setback to the Green Bay Packers as a 3.5-point favorite. On the road, Miami is 2-5 against the spread in its last seven games.

In Week 1, the Dolphins defeated the Patriots 20-7 as a 3-point favorite. That was the Dolphins’ fourth straight win against the Patriots both SU and ATS.

Tampa Bay favored to clinch NFC South title

In the NFC South, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers can clinch the division with a win over the Carolina Panthers. At Bovada, the Buccaneers are 3-point home favorites.

Last week, Tampa Bay edged the Arizona Cardinals 19-16 as a 7.5-point favorite. That was the Buccaneers’ fifth straight loss ATS, and it dropped them to 1-11-1 ATS in their last 13 games. At home, the Buccaneers are 1-7-1 ATS in their last nine.

Carolina kept its hopes of winning the division alive last week with a 37-23 win over the Detroit Lions as a 2-point underdog. As an underdog, the Panthers have won three in a row SU and five straight ATS.

In Week 7, the Panthers upset the Buccaneers 21-3 as 13-point underdogs. Prior to that loss, the Buccaneers had won four straight against the Panthers both SU and ATS.

Texans have won 9 in a row against Jaguars

In the AFC South, the Jacksonville Jaguars are tied for the division lead heading into their matchup with the Houston Texans. At Bovada, the Jaguars are 4-point road favorites.

Jacksonville has won three straight both SU and ATS following last week’s 19-3 win over the New York Jets as a 2.5-point underdog. The Jaguars have won their last two road games, but as a road favorite they’re 2-5 SU and ATS in their last seven games.

Houston snapped a nine-game losing streak last week with a 19-14 win over the Tennessee Titans as a 3-point underdog. That was the Texans’ third straight win ATS, but at home they’re 0-7-1 SU and 4-4 ATS in their last eight games, all as the underdog.

In Week 5, the Texans upset the Jaguars 13-6 as 7-point road underdogs. In this matchup, the Texans have won nine straight with a 7-2 ATS record.
