NFL Week 3 Betting Odds Preview
Week 3 of the NFL kicks off Thursday night with an AFC North matchup between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Cleveland Browns.
At Bovada Sportsbook, the Browns are 4.5-point home favorites. The Browns are coming off a 31-30 upset loss to the New York Jets as 6.5-point favorites. With that, Cleveland is 4-6 straight up and 3-7 against the spread in its last 10 games. At home, the Browns are 1-5 ATS in their last six and when favored they’ve lost five straight ATS.
Last week, Pittsburgh lost to the New England Patriots 17-14 as a 3-point underdog. The Steelers are 3-1-1 ATS in their last five and as an underdog they’re 2-3-1 ATS in their last six.
The Browns and Steelers met up three times last season and Pittsburgh was 2-1 SU and ATS. In their last six against Cleveland, the Steelers are 5-1 ATS.
Dolphins host Bills in early battle for top spot in AFC East
In the AFC East on Sunday, the early-season division lead is on the line when the Miami Dolphins host the Buffalo Bills as 5.5-point underdogs.
Miami won a slugfest against Baltimore last week, outlasting the Ravens 42-38 as a 3.5-point underdog. In their last 11 games, the Dolphins are 10-1 SU and 9-2 ATS. At home, they’ve won seven straight with a 6-1 ATS record, and as a home underdog they’re 6-2 ATS in their last eight.
Buffalo crushed the Tennessee Titans 41-7 as a 10-point favorite on Monday Night Football. When listed as a road favorite, the Bills have won three in a row SU and ATS, and they’re 6-2 SU and ATS in their last eight.
Last season, the Bills were 2-0 SU and 1-0-1 ATS against Miami. Overall, the Bills have won seven straight against the Dolphins with a 4-2-1 ATS record.
Bucs have covered spread in 10 of last 13 home games
Week 3 also features the battle of the bays when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers host the Green Bay Packers as 1.5-point favorites.
The Buccaneers got past the New Orleans Saints 20-10 as 2.5-point favorites last week. In their last 13 home games, the Buccaneers are 11-2 SU and 10-3 ATS.
Green Bay is coming off a 27-10 win over the Chicago Bears as a 10-point favorite. The Packers are 2-5 ATS in their last seven and on the road they’re 1-4 SU and ATS in their last five.
In the playoffs in 2021, the Buccaneers defeated the Packers 31-26 as 3-point underdogs. The Buccaneers are 5-2 ATS in their last seven vs the Packers and at home vs Green Bay they’re 8-2 SU and 7-3 ATS in their last 10.
