NFL Week 4 Betting Preview
Week 4 of the NFL season will kick off Thursday night with an NFC North clash between the Detroit Lions and the Green Bay Packers
At the Bovada Sportsbook the Lions are 1.5-point road favorites. Last week the Lions defeated the Atlanta Falcons 20-6 as 3-point favorites to improve to 4-1 straight up and against the spread in their last five games. The Lions are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games but haven’t done well as road favorites with a 1-3-1 SU record and 1-4 ATS record in their last five outings.
Green Bay edged the New Orleans Saints 18-17 as 1.5-point underdogs last week to improve to 7-1 ATS in its last eight games and get to 3-0 ATS this season. The Packers have often proven the oddsmakers wrong as home underdogs with three wins in a row SU and four straight wins ATS.
Last season the Lions were 2-0 SU and ATS versus the Packers. In their last 10 games in Green Bay the Lions are 4-6 SU and 5-5 ATS which includes going 4-2 ATS in their last six.
Dolphins road underdogs facing the Bills
On Sunday in the AFC East the undefeated Miami Dolphins are 2.5-point road underdogs when they visit the Buffalo Bills.
Miami is coming off a 70-20 rout of the Denver Broncos as 6-point favorites. The Dolphins have won six straight ATS and on the road they’ve won five straight ATS. Despite their prolific offense Miami has been a solid UNDER play on the road with an 8-2 UNDER record in their last 10 games.
Buffalo pounded the Washington Commanders 37-3 as 5-point favorites last week. At home the Bills are 6-1 SU in their last seven games but only 3-4 ATS. In their last six divisional matchups the Bills are 5-1 SU and 2-4 ATS.
The Bills and Dolphins split the season series last year with the home team winning each game, but Miami was 2-0 ATS. In their last 11 home games versus the Dolphins the Bills are 10-1 SU and 7-3-1 ATS.
Browns home chalk against rival Ravens
Continuing our look at Sunday divisional matchups, in the AFC North the Cleveland Browns host the Baltimore Ravens as 2.5-point home favorites.
Cleveland defeated the Tennessee Titans 27-3 as 3.5-point favorites last week. At home the Browns are 5-1 SU and ATS in their last six games and they’ve posted five straight UNDER results for totals bettors. In their last 10 games the Browns are 8-2 on the UNDER.
Baltimore is coming off a 22-19 upset loss to the Indianapolis Colts as 7.5-point favorites. As an underdog the Ravens are 4-1 ATS in their last five games and 7-2-1 ATS in their last 10. They’ve also been a strong UNDER play at 7-2 UNDER in their last nine games.
The Browns and Ravens split the season series last season with the home team winning each game, but Cleveland was 2-0 ATS. In their last nine games in Cleveland the Ravens are 6-3 SU and 7-2 ATS.
Giants, Seahawks in Monday night matchup
On Monday night Week 4 concludes with the New York Giants hosting the Seattle Seahawks as 1.5-point favorites.
The Giants fell to the San Francisco 49ers 30-12 as 10.5-point underdogs last week. When favored the Giants are 4-1 SU and 3-2 ATS in their last five games.
Seattle got past the Carolina Panthers 37-27 as 4.5-point favorites last week. The Seahawks are 5-5 SU and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games, and on the road they’re 4-2 SU and 3-3 ATS in their last six games.
Last season Seattle defeated New York 27-13 as 3-point favorites. In this matchup the Seahawks are 5-1 SU and ATS in the last six games.
