NFL Week 5 Betting Odds Preview
Week 5 in the NFL is loaded with divisional matchups, including an NFC West showdown between the undefeated Arizona Cardinals and the San Francisco 49ers.
At Bovada Sportsbook, the Cardinals are 5.5-point home favorites. Last week, Arizona improved to 4-0 straight up and 3-1 against the spread with a 37-20 upset win over the Los Angeles Rams as a 4-point underdog. Despite their recent success, the Cardinals are 1-5 ATS in their last six home games and as a home favorite they’re 2-8 ATS in their last 10.
San Francisco is 2-2 SU and 1-3 ATS this season following a 28-21 loss to Seattle as a 2.5-point favorite last week. The 49ers are 3-6 SU and ATS in their last nine, but as an underdog they’ve won three in a row ATS.
Last season, the 49ers and Cardinals split the season series with the road team winning each game. In their last seven games against the 49ers, the Cardinals are 5-1-1 ATS and they’re 9-3-1 ATS in their last 13.
Titans favored to extend Jacksonville’s long losing streak
In the AFC South this weekend, the Tennessee Titans visit the winless Jacksonville Jaguars as 4-point road favorites.
Tennessee is 2-2 SU and ATS and is coming off a 27-24 upset loss to the New York Jets as a 5.5-point favorite. The Titans are a disappointing 2-4 ATS in their last six, and as a road underdog they’re 1-5 ATS in their last six.
Jacksonville has lost 19 straight while going 7-12 ATS following last week’s 24-21 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals as a 7.5-point underdog. At home, the Jaguars have lost nine straight at 2-7 ATS.
Giants have covered spread in 11 of last 13 road games
Finally, the Dallas Cowboys host the New York Giants as 7-point favorites on Sunday when the NFC rivals meet up for the first time this season.
Dallas is 3-1 SU and 4-0 ATS on the season and is coming off a 36-28 win over the Carolina Panthers as a 4.5-point favorite. Dallas is 7-1 ATS in its last eight and has been a solid OVER play at home with five straight OVERs and a 10-2 OVER record in the last 12.
New York is 1-3 SU and 2-2 ATS after posting its first win last week, getting past the New Orleans Saints 27-21 as a 7-point underdog. On the road, the Giants have been a winning bet at 11-2 ATS in their last 13 games.
Dallas has won four straight against New York both SU and ATS. At home to the Giants, the Cowboys are 7-1 SU and 5-2-1 ATS in their last eight.
