NFL Week 7 Betting Preview and Trends
The Jacksonville Jaguars are rare road favorites this week as they take on the Indianapolis Colts in Week 7 of the NFL.
At Bovada Sportsbook, the Jaguars are a 3-point road favorite. That’s the second time they’ve been listed as a road favorite this season and only the second time since 2011. As a 3-point road favorite against the New York Jets this season, they lost 23-20, but they’re 5-1 against the spread in their last six road games overall. The Colts are an amazing 13-2 ATS in their last 15 as a home underdog.
The Jets meet up with the Miami Dolphins again this week as a 3-point road underdog. In Week 3, the Jets upset the Dolphins 20-6 as a 5.5-point underdog. Including that win, New York is 6-2 ATS in its last eight versus Miami. The Dolphins delivered a shocking upset over Atlanta last week and in their last seven at home they’re 6-1 straight up and 5-1-1 ATS.
The Los Angeles Rams are a 3.5-point home favorite this week against the Arizona Cardinals. At home the Rams have been horrible lately at 1-8 SU and 1-7-1 ATS in their last nine. Arizona is 1-5 ATS in its last six games and 2-7 ATS in the last nine on the road. However, the Cardinals are 6-1 ATS in their last seven road games versus the Rams.
The Pittsburgh Steelers handed the Kansas City Chiefs their first loss this season and face the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday as a 6-point home favorite. Pittsburgh is 5-1 SU and 3-2-1 ATS in its last six at home and against Cincinnati is 7-1 SU and 6-1-1 ATS in the last eight. The Bengals, coming off their bye week, have won three straight ATS and on the road they’ve won four in a row ATS.
On Sunday the Atlanta Falcons and New England Patriots clash in a Super Bowl rematch. The Patriots are a 3.5-point home favorite and against Atlanta have won five straight both SU and ATS. The Falcons have lost their last two games, both as the favorite, but on the road they’re 9-2 ATS in their last 11 games.
On Monday night the Philadelphia Eagles host the Washington Redskins as a 4.5-point favorite. The Eagles are 7-1 SU and 6-2 ATS in their last eight, but they’re 2-8 ATS in their last 10 versus Washington. The Redskins are 5-1 SU in their last six versus Philadelphia and a money-making 12-3-1 SU and 13-3 ATS in their last 16 games as an underdog of 4.5 or less.
