NFL Week 8 Betting Preview
Week 8 of the NFL season begins Thursday night with two teams looking to rebound from upset losses as the Buffalo Bills host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Bills are 4-3 straight up and 3-4 against the spread following last week’s 29-25 loss to the New England Patriots as 7.5-point favorites. That was the Bills' third straight loss ATS. At home Buffalo is 8-2 SU and 4-6 ATS in its last 10 games which includes going 2-4 ATS in its last six.
Tampa Bay is 3-3 SU and ATS after last week’s 16-13 loss to the Atlanta Falcons as 3-point favorites. The Buccaneers have been a winning UNDER play for totals bettors with four straight UNDER results and a 6-1 UNDER record in their last seven games. On the road the Buccaneers are 2-6 ATS in their last eight games.
In this matchup the Buccaneers have been the better play with a 6-3 record SU and 7-1-1 mark ATS in the last nine games.
Packers host the Vikings as small underdogs
On Sunday NFC North division rivals clash when the Green Bay Packers host the Minnesota Vikings as 1-point underdogs.
Green Bay has lost three in a row SU and ATS to drop to 2-4 SU and 3-3 ATS after last week’s 19-17 loss to the Denver Broncos as 1.5-point underdogs. As underdogs the Packers have lost three straight both SU and ATS, but as a home underdog they’re 4-1 ATS in their last five games.
Minnesota is 3-4 SU and 3-3-1 ATS and coming off a 22-17 upset win over the San Francisco 49ers as 7-point underdogs. As road favorites the Vikings have won seven straight with a 5-1-1 ATS record.
Last season the Packers and Vikings split the season series SU and ATS with the home team winning both games. In the last 10 games in this matchup the Packers are 5-4-1 SU and 6-4 ATS.
Patriots, Dolphins clash in divisional matchup
In the AFC East on Sunday the New England Patriots will be looking for another upset when they visit the Miami Dolphins as 9.5-point underdogs.
The Patriots are 2-5 SU and ATS after last week’s 29-25 win over the Buffalo Bills as 7.5-point underdogs. On the road the Patriots are 1-4 SU and ATS in their last five games, and as underdogs they’re 1-9 SU and ATS in their last 10.
The Dolphins dropped to 5-2 SU and ATS last week after losing to the Philadelphia Eagles 31-17 as 3-point favorites. At home the Dolphins have won four straight both SU and ATS and they’re 7-1 SU and 6-2 ATS in their last eight games.
In Week 2 Miami defeated New England 24-17 as 2-point favorites. In their last six games against the Patriots the Dolphins are 5-1 SU and 6-0 ATS.
Lions are favorites for Monday Night contest
Week 8 concludes Monday night with the Las Vegas Raiders at the Detroit Lions as 8-point underdogs.
Las Vegas is 3-4 SU and ATS and is coming off a 30-12 loss to the Chicago Bears as 2.5-point favorites. On the road the Raiders have lost three straight both SU and ATS, and they’re 1-5 SU and ATS in their last six games.
Detroit dropped to 5-2 SU and ATS after last week’s 38-6 loss to the Baltimore Ravens as 3-point underdogs. At home the Lions are 5-1 SU in their last six and 7-1 ATS in their last eight.
In this matchup the Lions are 4-1 SU and 3-2 ATS in the last five games.
