NFL Week 9 Betting Odds Preview

The surging Green Bay Packers appear to have drawn the struggling Kansas City Chiefs at the right time, as the contenders are scheduled to meet up in Week 9 of the NFL.

At Bovada Sportsbook, this game is currently being listed as a pick’em. However, it was announced Wednesday that Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has tested positive for COVID-19 and won’t play Sunday, a development that could change the odds considerably.

Green Bay has won seven straight both straight up and against the spread after defeating the Arizona Cardinals 24-21 as a 6.5-point underdog last week. The Packers have been a profitable UNDER play lately with five straight games going UNDER the posted total.

Kansas City is 4-4 SU and 2-6 ATS after barely getting past the New York Giants 20-17 as a 10.5-point favorite last week. The Chiefs are 3-15-1 ATS in their last 19 games and at home they’re 1-9 ATS in their last 10. If the line changes and the Chiefs become the underdog, keep in mind Kansas City is a solid 7-2-1 ATS in its last 10 as an underdog.

In this matchup, Green Bay is 3-1 SU and ATS in the last four games.

The 49ers are 3-4 SU and 2-5 ATS following last week’s 33-22 win over the Chicago Bears as a 4.5-point favorite. San Francisco has been awful at home lately with seven straight losses while going 1-6 ATS.

In Week 5, the Cardinals defeated the 49ers 17-10 as 6-point favorites. In their last 13 games against the 49ers, the Cardinals are 10-3 SU and 8-4-1 ATS.

Bengals have covered in 11 of last 13 vs Browns

Also on Sunday, state rivals clash when the Cincinnati Bengals host the Cleveland Browns as 2.5-point favorites. Cincinnati is coming off a shocking 34-31 loss to the New York Jets as an 11.5-point favorite. Following that loss, the Bengals are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games when favored.

Cleveland also lost last week, falling to the Pittsburgh Steelers 15-10 as a 5-point favorite. The Browns have been a good bet on the road at 6-2 ATS in their last eight. As an underdog, Cleveland is 3-9 SU and 5-7 ATS in its last 12.

The Browns are 5-1 SU and 2-4 ATS in their last six games against the Bengals. In the last 13 matchups between Cleveland and Cincinnati, the Bengals are 11-2 ATS.
