Two of baseball's best teams clash in an interleague matchup this week between the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Kansas City Royals in Kansas City. Pittsburgh took the first game of the three-game series on Monday night 10-7 and will send Gerrit Cole to the mound as a -125 road favorite on Tuesday against Jason Vargas and the Royals at +105. Kansas City is 10-3 over its last 13 games and Pittsburgh is 12-5 over its last 17 games.

Washington's 7-2 win over the New York Mets on Monday gave the Nationals a three-game lead over the Mets in the NL East. The Mets will try to bridge the gap in the second game of the three-game series on Tuesday night with Jacob deGrom going off as a -127 favorite at Bovada. Over in the American League, the New York Yankees host the Baltimore Orioles in the first game of a three-game series on Tuesday night.
