Sweet 16, Elite 8 Betting Previews

The Duke Blue Devils are 6-1 SU in their last seven games against the Michigan State Spartans, but are just 1-5-1 ATS over that stretch.

The two teams will meet in one of four Sweet 16 betting matchups scheduled for this Friday.

After the first four games of the Sweet 16 were played on Thursday, the field will be down to the Elite Eight after Friday’s action which features four games (all odds at Bovada): No. 12 Oregon (+10.5) vs. No. 1 Louisville (-10.5), No. 3 Michigan State (+2.0) vs. No. 2 Duke (-2.0), No. 4 Michigan (+2.0) vs. No. 1 Kansas (-2.0), and No. 15 Florida Gulf Coast (+13.0) vs. No. 3 Florida (-13.0). Florida Gulf Coast is the first 15-seed in NCAA Tournament history to reach the Sweet 16.

NBA betting

The San Antonio Spurs have the best overall and home record in the Western Conference, but they’ll be put to the test this weekend with two tough games ahead. Watch for line moves and huge bonus specials at Bovada.

The Spurs host the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday and then the Miami Heat on Sunday. San Antonio is 16-4 SU and 14-6 ATS in its last 20 games against the Clippers and 4-3 SU and 5-2 ATS in their last seven games against the Heat.

But they have lost three straight to the Heat (1-2 ATS) and are just 1-6 ATS over their last seven games overall despite a 5-2 SU record over that stretch.

Hockey wagering

The Western Conference leaders out in the NHL will also have their work cut out for them this weekend as the Chicago Blackhawks host the Anaheim Ducks on Friday night and then visit the Detroit Red Wings on Sunday.

These two teams are going in opposite directions as the Ducks have lost four straight games while the Red Wings have won five of their last six. Anaheim is 3-0 SU in its last three games against Chicago while Detroit is 0-5 SU in its last five games against Chicago and 3-10 SU in its last 13 against the Hawks.

On Saturday, the red-hot Minnesota Wild will host the defending Stanley Cup champion Los Angeles Kings. Minnesota has won seven straight and is 9-1 SU in its last 10 games. The Kings are 3-2 SU in their last five games against the Wild.
