UFC 207 Ronda Rousey Betting Odds, Preview
Ronda Rousey makes her long-awaited return to the octagon on Friday night when she headlines UFC 207 against women’s bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes.
This will be Rousey’s first fight since she suffered her first defeat and lost her title to Holly Holm at UFC 193 in November 2015. Even though Rousey hasn’t fought in over a year she’s still the favorite at the Bovada sportsbook at -140. Before her loss to Holm, Rousey was 12-0 with three wins by knockout and nine by submission.
Since Rousey lost the title to Holm no fighter has been able to defend it. Holm lost her next fight to Miesha Tate, while Tate lost her first title defense to Nunes.
Nunes will make her first title defense since claiming the belt at UFC 200 in July. She defeated Tate by submission to win the title, and improved her MMA record to 13-4 with nine wins by KO and three by submission. Nunes is a +110 underdog at Bovada to successfully defend the title.
Also on the main card at UFC 207, men’s bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz defends his title against Cody Garbrandt.
Cruz is 22-2 in his career with seven wins by KO and one by submission. He has a 13-fight winning streak and steps into the octagon for the first time since UFC 199 in June. That night he was successful in his first title defense with a unanimous decision victory over Urijah Faber.
Garbrandt is a perfect 10-0 so far in his MMA career with nine wins by KO. He last fought at UFC 202 in August, when he defeated Takeya Mizugaki by TKO. Despite his undefeated record Garbrandt is a +170 underdog in the bout at Bovada. Cruz checks in at -210.
With the scheduled heavyweight bout between Fabricio Werdum and Cain Velasquez scratched after Velasquez failed to get licensed to fight, the next event on the main card is another bantamweight bout between T.J. Dillashaw and John Lineker. Dillashaw is a -240 favorite and Lineker is listed at +190.
Dillashaw, 13-3 with six wins by KO, last fought Raphael Assuncao at UFC 200 and won by unanimous decision. Lineker, 29-7 with 13 wins by KO, has won his last six fights and defeated John Dodson by split decision at a UFC Fight Night event in October.
