A UFC women’s strawweight title bout headlines the card this weekend when the UFC heads to Brazil for UFC 237: Namajunas vs. Andrade.
In the main event UFC women’s strawweight champion Rose Namajunas faces challenger Jessica Andrade. Namajunas may be the champ but at the Bovada Sportsbook she’s an even-money underdog. Andrade is the -130 favorite.
Namajunas is 8-3 with one win by knockout and five by submission. She’s 6-1 in her last seven fights but hasn’t fought in over a year due to spinal stenosis. Her last fight was at UFC 223 in April 2018 where she defended her title with a unanimous decision win over Joanna Jedrzejczyk as a small underdog.
Andrade is 19-6 with six wins by KO and seven by submission. She is also 6-1 in her last seven fights. She last fought at UFC 228 in September where she defeated Karolina Kowalkiewicz by first-round KO as a +300 underdog.
Silva underdog vs. Cannonier on UFC odds
Also on the card at UFC 237 are two MMA legends, starting with Anderson Silva versus Jared Cannonier in a middleweight bout. Silva may be a legend but he’s a +120 underdog at the Bovada Sportsbook, while Cannonier is a -150 favorite.
Silva is 34-9 and one no-contest, with 22 wins by KO after going 1-3 in his last four fights. He last fought at UFC 234 in February where he lost to Israel Adesanya by unanimous decision as a +300 underdog.
Cannonier has also struggled lately with a 2-3 record in his last five fights. Overall he is 11-4 with six wins by KO. His last fight was at UFC 230 in November where he defeated David Branch by second round TKO as a +240 underdog.
The other legend on the card is Jose Aldo, who will face Alexander Volkanovski in a featherweight bout. Aldo is a -140 favorite and Volkanovski is a +110 underdog.
Aldo is 28-4 with 17 wins by KO. He last fought at UFC Fight Night 144 in February where he defeated Renato Moicano by second-round TKO as a -130 favorite.
Volkanovski has won 15 straight fights to sit at 19-1 with 11 wins by KO. He last fought at UFC 232 in December where he defeated Chad Mendes via second round TKO as a +100 underdog.
