UFC 240 Betting Preview & Odds Roundup
The UFC heads north to Canada this weekend, as UFC 240: Holloway vs Edgar lands at Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta.
The main event at UFC 240 is the long-awaited featherweight title bout between UFC featherweight champ Max Holloway and Frankie Edgar. The fight has previously been scrapped twice due to injury. At Bovada Sportsbook, Holloway is a -400 favorite and Edgar a +300 underdog.
Holloway is 20-4 with 10 wins by knockout and is coming off his first loss since 2013. He faced Dustin Poirier for the interim UFC lightweight title at UFC 236 in April and lost by unanimous decision as a -255 favorite. That loss snapped a 13-fight winning streak.
Edgar, the former UFC lightweight champ, is 23-6-1 with seven wins by KO and four by submission. It’s been over a year since Edgar last fought as he recovered from multiple injuries. His last fight was at UFC Fight Night 128 in April 2018 when he defeated Cub Swanson by unanimous decision as a -315 favorite.
Cyborg -700 coming off first loss since 2005
Also on the main card at UFC 240 is a women’s featherweight bout between Cris Cyborg and Felicia Spencer. At Bovada, Cyborg is a heavy -700 favorite and Spencer a +450 underdog.
Cyborg is coming off her first loss since 2005, dropping her record to 20-2 and one no contest with 17 wins by KO. She faced Amanda Nunes at UFC 232 in December and lost by first-round KO as a -230 favorite.
Spencer is undefeated at 7-0 with one win by KO and four by submission. Her last fight was in May at UFC Fight Night 152 where she defeated Megan Anderson by first-round submission as a +165 underdog.
Neal favored over Price in welterweight bout
One other notable fight at UFC 240 is a welterweight bout between Geoff Neal and Niko Price. Neal is a -325 favorite and Price a +250 underdog.
Neal has won his last five fights and is 11-2 with six wins by KO and two by submission. He last fought at UFC Fight Night 143 in January, defeating Belal Muhammad by unanimous decision as a -225 favorite.
Price is 13-2 and one no contest, with nine wins by KO and three by submission. Both of his losses have come in his last five fights. He last fought at UFC Fight Night 146 in March when he defeated Tim Means by first-round KO as a +125 underdog.
