The UFC light heavyweight title will be on the line this weekend as the UFC brings the Octagon to the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi for UFC 267: Blachowicz vs Teixeira.
The main event this weekend is the light heavyweight title bout between champion Jan Blachowicz and challenger Glover Teixeira. At Bovada Sportsbook, Blachowicz is a -300 favorite and Teixeira a +235 underdog.
Blachowicz has won his last five fights to improve his record to 28-8 with eight wins by knockout and nine by submission. He last fought at UFC 259 in March when he defeated Israel Adesanya by unanimous decision as a +175 underdog.
Teixeira has also won his last five fights and owns an overall record of 32-7 with 18 wins by KO and nine by submission. He last fought at UFC on ESPN 17 in November, defeating Thiago Santos by third-round submission as a +200 underdog.
Yan favored over Sandhagen for interim bantamweight title
The interim UFC bantamweight title will also be up for grabs this weekend in a bout featuring Petr Yan and Cory Sandhagen. At Bovada, Yan is a -250 favorite and Sandhagen a +200 underdog.
Yan, who is 15-2 with seven wins by KO and one by submission, is coming off a loss that snapped a 10-fight winning streak. That loss to Aljamain Sterling came in March at UFC 259 by disqualification due to an illegal knee as a -135 favorite.
Sandhagen is 2-2 in his last four fights and owns an overall record of 14-3 with six wins by KO and three by submission. He last fought at UFC on ESPN 27 in July, losing to T.J. Dillashaw by split decision as a -225 favorite.
Makhachev heavy chalk to extend winning streak to nine
Also on the main card this weekend is a lightweight bout between Islam Makhachev and Dan Hooker. At Bovada, Makhachev is a -575 favorite and Hooker a +390 underdog.
Makhachev has won his last eight fights and is a near perfect 20-1 with three wins by KO and nine by submission. He last fought at UFC on ESPN 26 in July, besting Thiago Moises by fourth-round submission as a -1000 favorite.
Hooker has lost two of his last three fights to drop his record to 21-10 with 10 wins by KO and seven by submission. He last fought at UFC 266 in September and defeated Nasrat Haqparast by unanimous decision as a -165 favorite.
