UFC Betting: Figueiredo vs Moreno Preview

Deiveson Figueiredo faces the shortest turnaround between title defenses in UFC history this weekend as he puts his UFC flyweight title on the line again at UFC 256: Figueiredo vs Moreno.

Figueiredo will be facing Brandon Moreno at UFC 256. At Bovada Sportsbook, Figueiredo is a -325 favorite and Moreno a +250 underdog.

Figueiredo has won his last five fights and owns an overall record of 20-1 with nine wins by knockout and eight by submission. He last fought 21 days ago at UFC 255 on November 21 when he successfully defended his title with a win over Alex Perez by first-round submission as a -360 favorite.

Moreno is 18-5-1 with three wins by KO and 10 by submission. He’ll be facing the same short turnaround as he also fought at UFC 255, defeating Brandon Royval by first-round TKO as a -175 favorite.

Ferguson favored to start new winning streak vs Oliveira

Also on the main card this weekend is a lightweight bout between Tony Ferguson and Charles Oliveira. At Bovada, Ferguson is a -175 favorite and Oliveira a +145 underdog.

Ferguson had a 12-fight winning streak snapped in his last fight, losing to Justin Gaethje by fifth-round TKO as a -260 favorite at UFC 249 in May. That dropped his record to 25-4 with 12 wins by KO and eight by submission.

Oliveira has won seven straight fights and owns an overall record of 29-8 and one no contest, with eight wins by KO and 19 by submission. He last fought in March at UFC Fight Night 170 where he defeated Kevin Lee by third-round submission as a +105 underdog.

Fiziev, Moicano square off in rescheduled match

One other fight on the main card is a rescheduled lightweight bout between Renato Moicano and Rafael Fiziev. They were supposed to meet up last weekend at UFC on ESPN 18, but it was rescheduled after Moicano tested positive for COVID-19. At Bovada, Fiziev is a -160 favorite and Moicano a +130 underdog.

Fiziev is 8-1 with five wins by KO and one by submission. He last fought at UFC Fight Night 172 in July, besting Marc Diakese by unanimous decision as a +135 underdog.

Moicano is 14-3-1 with no wins by KO and seven by submission. He last fought at UFC Fight Night 170 in March and defeated Damir Hadzovic by first-round submission as a -565 favorite.
