UFC Betting: Hermansson vs Vettori Preview
After two main event changes, it looks like the main card is finally set as the UFC returns to the Octagon this weekend for UFC on ESPN: Hermansson vs Vettori.
The main event is a middleweight bout between Jack Hermansson and Marvin Vettori. Hermansson was originally scheduled to face Darren Till, but Till was pulled due to injury. He was replaced by Kevin Holland, who was in turn pulled earlier this week after testing positive for COVID-19. With Vettori now in, at Bovada Sportsbook, Hermansson is a +115 underdog and Vettori a -145 favorite.
Vettori has won his last three fights and owns an overall record of 15-4-1 with two wins by knockout and nine by submission. He last fought at UFC on ESPN 10 in June when he defeated Karl Roberson by first-round submission as a -255 favorite.
Hermansson is 5-1 in his last six fights and his overall record stands at 21-5 with 11 wins by KO and six by submission. He last fought at UFC Fight Night 172 in July, defeating Kelvin Gastelum by first-round submission as a -125 favorite.
Hill puts undefeated mark on line in light heavyweight fight
Also on the main card this weekend is a light heavyweight bout between Ovince Saint Preux and Jamahal Hill. At Bovada, Hill is a -165 favorite and Preux a +135 underdog.
Hill is undefeated at 7-0 with one no contest and three wins by KO. He made his UFC debut in his last fight at UFC on ESPN 9 in May. Hill was originally credited with a win over Klidson Abreu as a -170 favorite, but that win was overturned and declared a no contest after Hill tested positive for marijuana.
Preux is 2-3 in his last five fights and 25-14 overall, with 12 wins by KO and eight by submission. He last fought in September at UFC Fight Night 176, where he defeated Alonzo Menifield by second-round KO as a +105 underdog.
Santos favored over De La Rosa in women’s flyweight bout
One other interesting fight on the main card this weekend is a women’s flyweight bout between Montana De La Rosa and Taila Santos. At Bovada, Santos is a -225 favorite and De La Rosa a +175 underdog.
Santos is 16-1 with 10 wins by KO. She last fought at UFC on ESPN 13 in July, topping Molly McCann by unanimous decision as a +160 underdog.
De La Rosa is 11-6 with eight wins by submission. She last fought at UFC Fight Night 176 in September, losing to Viviane Araujo by unanimous decision as a +155 underdog.
