UFC Fight Night 156 Betting Odds Preview
The UFC women’s flyweight title will be on the line this weekend when the UFC heads to Uruguay for UFC Fight Night 156: Shevchenko vs Carmouche.
The main event is the UFC women’s flyweight title bout between champion Valentina Shevchenko and challenger Liz Carmouche. At Bovada Sportsbook, Shevchenko is a -1000 favorite and Carmouche a +600 underdog.
Shevchenko has won her last three fights to improve to 17-3 with five wins by knockout and seven by submission. She made her first title defense in her last fight at UFC 238 in June, defeating Jessica Eye by second-round KO as a -1700 favorite.
Carmouche is 13-6 with six wins by KO and two by submission. She last fought at UFC Fight Night 145 in February when she defeated Lucie Pudilova by unanimous decision as a -175 favorite.
Oezdemir favored despite three straight losses
Also on the main card this weekend, Volkan Oezdemir faces Ilir Latifi in a light heavyweight bout that was originally scheduled for UFC on ESPN 5 a week ago. At Bovada, Oezdemir is a -150 favorite and Latifi a +120 underdog.
Oezdemir has lost his last three fights to drop to 16-4 with 12 wins by KO. He last fought at UFC Fight Night 147 in March, losing to Dominick Reyes by split decision as a +190 underdog.
Latifi is 14-6 and one no contest, with five wins by KO and five by submission. He last fought at UFC 232 in December where he lost to Corey Anderson by unanimous decision as a -145 favorite.
Luque -225 to extend winning streak
Rounding out our look at UFC Fight Night 156 is a welterweight bout between Vicente Luque and Mike Perry. Luque is a -225 favorite and Perry a +175 underdog.
Luque has won his last five fights to stand at 16-6-1 with nine wins by KO and six by submission. He last fought at UFC Fight Night 152 in May where he defeated Derrick Krantz by first-round TKO as a -1400 favorite.
Perry is 2-3 in his last five fights and his overall record is 13-4 with 11 wins by KO. He last fought at UFC Fight Night 150 in April, beating Alex Oliveira by unanimous decision as a +125 underdog.
