UFC on Fuel, NBA betting: Weekend preview

The New York Knicks have already come out as ATS winners twice against LeBron James and the Miami Heat this season.

They get a third opportunity to pay off on the NBA betting lines at the sportsbooks against the Eastern Conference's top team on Sunday afternoon in a matchup that highlights the weekend ahead for sports bettors.

In their first meeting of the season on November 2 the Knicks cruised to a 104-84 home win over the Heat as a 6-point underdog in an UNDER result for totals bettors at sportsbooks like 5Dimes.

On December 6 the Knicks then topped the Heat again, winning 112-92 as a 9.5-point road underdog in an OVER result on the betting lines.

Prior to those two contests the Heat had been 7-1 SU and 5-1-2 ATS over their previous eight games against the Knicks, with the OVER/UNDER going 2-6 in those eight contests. Tipoff for their game in New York on Sunday is slated for 1:00pm ET.

Miami is also in action on Friday as they host the Memphis Grizzlies – a team that beat them 104-86 as a 1.5-point home underdog on the NBA betting lines at Top Bet on November 11.

Overall the Heat are only 3-7 SU and ATS in their past 10 games against the Grizzlies, with the UNDER paying out in eight of those contests. The Knicks play in Washington on Friday; they fell 106-96 to the Wizards on the road on February 6 as a 4.5-point betting favorite.

That snapped the Knicks' 10-game winning streak against the Wizards.

Over on the college hardwood there are three ranked matchups on tap for Saturday with No. 10 Louisville at No. 12 Syracuse, No. 21 Notre Dame at No. 22 Marquette, and No. 6 Miami at No. 3 Duke.

As well, No. 1 Indiana plays host to Iowa, with the Hoosiers coming off a 77-73 road loss to Minnesota that dropped them to 24-4 SU and 15-11 ATS on the season. Indiana beat Iowa 69-65 on the road back on December 31.

On Sunday the marquee matchup is then No. 9 Michigan State at No. 4 Michigan, with the Wolverines coming off an 84-78 loss to Penn State on Wednesday night that has them now at 23-5 SU and 14-12-1 ATS on the season.

Michigan State rolled over Michigan on February 12 by a 75-52 score as a 2-point home 'dog at sportsbooks such as Bovada.

Saturday in Japan, UFC on Fuel 8 pits Brian Stann against Wanderlei Silva in a middleweight Main Event. For a full slate of odds, along with the best variety of props (who will win by submission or TKO), check out the MMA slate at 5Dimes.eu.
