Weekend NFL Betting Preview
The St. Louis Rams have been one of the top moneymakers in NFL betting so far this season, and they'll try to pay off for their supporters on the football odds once again on Sunday afternoon as they take on the Dolphins in Miami in Week 6 gridiron action.
The Rams find themselves at 3-2 SU and 4-1 ATS through the first five weeks of the NFL season, and they're coming off back-to-back victories over the Seahawks and Cardinals. That has St. Louis just one game behind both San Francisco and Arizona in the NFC West standings. Miami, meanwhile, is 2-3 SU and 3-2 ATS on the season, and they snapped a two-game skid with a 17-13 victory in Cincinnati last weekend.

The NFL betting lines at 5Dimes for this week have the Dolphins pegged as 3-point home favorites against the Rams, with the OVER/UNDER at 37.5 points. The Rams are 1-4 SU and 2-3 ATS over the past five meetings between the teams; they last played back in 2008 when Miami picked up a 16-12 road victory as a 9-point favorite.
The Texans, Patriots, Bears, Falcons, and Niners join the Rams atop the league at 4-1 ATS heading into Week 6 of the season, with San Francisco a 4.5-point favorite on the NFL betting lines at 5Dimes for their game on Sunday afternoon at home against the Giants. San Francisco, which is also 4-1 SU on the season, has managed to pick up just two ATS wins over New York in the past eight meetings between the NFC teams.
One of those ATS wins came during the regular season last year, but New York got some revenge in the playoffs with a 20-17 victory over San Francisco as a 2.5-point road underdog. The Giants are at 3-2 SU and 2-3 ATS through the first five weeks.
The Lions are the only winless ATS team in the league heading into this weekend, and they'll be clashing with the Eagles in Philadelphia as a 4.5-point underdog at 5Dimes on Sunday afternoon. Philly is on a six-game winning streak against Detroit, covering the spread in five of those contests until they suffered an ATS defeat in 2010. The Lions are at 1-3 SU and 0-4 ATS this season; the Eagles sit at 3-2 SU and 2-3 ATS.
On the totals, the Seahawks have been the best UNDER wager so far this season at 0-5 OU, but their defense will be charged with holding off Tom Brady and the Patriots on Sunday afternoon. Seattle is a 3.5-point home underdog for that contest with the total at 45 points. The Patriots are 3-2 on the OVER/UNDER heading into that matchup.
