Weekend Sports Betting Preview

We're heading into one of the biggest sports betting weekends of the year as the NCAA Tournament's Final Four is played on Saturday night. Louisville will meet Kentucky in the early betting matchup on Saturday, while Ohio State will take on Kansas in the second game.

Kentucky has just two losses all season and they come into their Final Four game as an 8.5-point favorite against the Cardinals at Bovada. The Wildcats have won three straight head-to-head, including their only meeting this year. Kentucky will likely see most of the attention on the college hoops betting lines in this contest against Louisville.

Ohio State has the edge from oddsmakers at Bovada, who have them pegged as a 2.5-point favorite in their Final Four college basketball betting matchup with the Jayhawks. It was Kansas who took the only meeting between these teams earlier this season, and the betting lines could be split pretty evenly for this game.

In NBA betting action this weekend the New York Knicks will be looking for a fourth straight victory when they meet the struggling Hawks in Atlanta on Friday. The Knicks are clinging to a playoff position in the East, while Atlanta is trying to remain ahead of the Knicks and the Celtics in the conference.

Other key NBA betting matchups this weekend include Atlanta at Philadelphia, Memphis at Milwaukee, and Indiana at San Antonio on Saturday. As well, Phoenix has a key game against New Orleans on Sunday as the Suns try to stay close in the hunt for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference.

Denny Hamlin is a 9/2 favorite for the Goody’s Fast Relief 500 NASCAR race this Sunday afternoon at Martinsville, and Jimmie Johnson and Kyle Busch are behind at 5/1 on the those betting lines at Bovada. Last year’s Sprint Cup Series champion Tony Stewart is a two-time race winner already this season and is at 7/1 for this event.

Buffalo is clinging to a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference and they need a win when they take on Pittsburgh on Friday night in NHL betting action. As well, Los Angeles plays Edmonton, Colorado takes on Calgary, and Dallas meets Vancouver in other games that have playoff implications.

There are a handful of games on Saturday and Sunday in the playoff races, and that will keep NHL bettors busy throughout this sports betting weekend.
