Wild Card Saturday Betting Preview
The NFL playoffs get underway on Saturday with the first game of Wild Card Weekend featuring the Cleveland Browns at the Houston Texans.
At the Bovada Sportsbook the Browns are 2.5-point road favorites. Cleveland was 11-6 straight up and 10-6-1 against the spread this season. At home in the playoffs the Texans are 4-2 SU and ATS in their last six and they were favored in five of those games. In the lone game in which they were listed as a home underdog they lost 30-0 as 3-point underdogs.
In Week 15 Cleveland defeated Houston 36-22 as 3-point road favorites. In this matchup the Browns have won four straight with a 2-2 ATS record.
Chiefs host Dolphins as Saturday betting favorites
In the other Saturday matchup the Kansas City Chiefs host the Miami Dolphins as 3.5-point favorites at the Bovada Sportsbook.
Kansas City was 11-6 SU and 9-7-1 ATS this season. The Chiefs were a disappointing 5-4 SU and ATS at home this season, where they’ve gone UNDER the posted total in seven straight. At home in the playoffs the Chiefs are 9-1 SU and 7-3 ATS in their last 10.
Miami was 11-6 SU and 10-7 ATS this season. The Dolphins were 2-3 SU and ATS in their last five games, including a 21-14 loss to the Buffalo Bills as 2.5-point underdogs in Week 18 that cost them the AFC East. Miami was 4-4 SU and ATS on the road this season. As underdogs they’re 1-9 SU and 4-6 ATS in their last 10.
In the playoffs the Dolphins have lost five straight with a 1-4 ATS record. On the road in the playoffs they’re 1-9 SU and 3-7 ATS in their last 10.
In Week 9 Kansas City defeated Miami 21-14 as 1-point underdogs. In this matchup the Chiefs have won four straight with a 3-1 ATS record.
