Las Vegas - THIS guy...THIS day...Happy Birthday Dad!!!

Apparently, the Lakers KNOW how to make halftime adjustments. The Nuggets beat 'em 37-25 in the 1st quarter and 35-29 in the 2nd quarter. Not sure what Darvin Ham told his guys, but it WORKED! L.A. beat Denver in the 3rd quarter 38-34 and 34-26 in the 4th quarter. Part of the strategy was giving Rui Hachimura extended minutes and it paid YUGE dividends. Rui played 28 minutes, shot lights out (8-11) and posted 17 points. D'Angelo Russell scored only 8 points which is almost 10 points lower than his season average. Nikola Jokic was brilliant, with a triple double, Jamal Murray had 31 points and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope had 21 points. And the Lakers STILL lost by ONLY six. Looking for another tight fit, and grabbing the Lake Show +5.5 or +6 (buying the hook) depending on where you shop.

For your wagering pleasure, here is your spread stat of the day. Jumping back on the Zamboni because we have some ice stats for you in the Carolina/Florida Eastern Conference Final. The Hurricanes have been dynamic at home, winning eight of the last nine. That's 90%, but when we looked at the visiting Panthers, we found out that they are pitching a PERFECTO. They've ripped off a 6-0 streak on the road, and don't even need the calculator to tell me that is 100%. Good luck figuring this one out.
