fight on on
Las Vegas - Bring the heat. College football is coming at us with over 50 games on the betting board today, and we're gonna drop some cash in a couple of spots. Not sure I'm falling into a trap, but Oregon at PLUS 17 points against Georgia looks pretty tasty. Why? Two words, Dan Lanning. If you don't know the name, Lanning was the defensive coordinator at, yes, Georgia, for the last few years. And you just might remember that the Dawgs WON the National Championship with the BEST defense in the nation. They allowed only 10.2 points per game, and that included a 41 point outburst by Alabama in the SEC title game. So, Dan KNOWS D, and Dan KNOWS how to defend Georgia's offense. But you're saying, Eck, how is Oregon gonna beat the Bulldogs on the road? Well, first of all, the game is IN Atlanta, not Athens, and while it favors Georgia, and AIN'T their home field. And second, lemme direct your attention to last season, game two, when the Ducks flew to Columbus, and posted a stunning 35-28 upset win over Ohio State as a +14.5 point underdog. Now they're getting SEVENTEEN. If this is a trap, color me stupid. If it ain't, color me GREEN all the way to the bank BAABBBEEE!!!
Also gonna rock Over 14 points in the 1st quarter of the USC/Rice game. This is a fresh start for SC with Lincoln Riley coming to Los Angeles with a PHENOMENAL resume. And he brought his QB from last season at Oklahoma, Caleb Williams, along for the ride. Just for context, Oklahoma scored 56, 63, 49, 48 and 40 in the home openers in Riley's five years at Norman. Not sure if the Rice Krispies are gonna get on the board, but we are pretty sure that the Trojans could put up around 21 in the opening quarter.
