Las Vegas - It's impossible not to take a taste of Justin Verlander the way he is throwing. Verlander has not lost a game since June 18, and over the last 34 innings, he has allowed ONLY three earned runs. Of course, I'm getting out the calculator and it tells me that is a virtually non-existent 0.79 ERA. ZERO POINT SEVEN NINE! Justin just faced the Mariners in Seattle this past Saturday, and allowed 1 earned run over 7 innings with 9 Ks. Robbie Ray faced the Astros the following day, also in Seattle, and was BOMBED for TEN hits and SIX earned runs in just THREE innings. Houston, we have liftoff!
