holy 22
Las Vegas - If you follow 'celebrity boxing' then you might wanna take a look at the Evander Holyfield vs. Vitor Belfort extravaganza this Saturday in Florida. Holyfield stepped in to replace Oscar De La Hoya who is sitting at home with COVID-19. If you're wondering about 'The Real Deal,' he is 58 years old for another month when he'll turn 59. He HAS NOT fought since 2011. And yet, he still opened as a small favorite, -$130, in the match against Belfort. Vitor has not fought since 2018 and is 14 years YOUNGER than Evander. Gonna study really hard and see if 'Holy' can actually stand upright for eight rounds. The rounds will last ONLY 2 minutes, so Evander might just make it.
On the baseball board, had a tough time deciding because there are three games that sparked my interest. Gonna have to narrow it down to two. Start with the Braves and Max Fried over the Nationals. After an up and down first couple of months, Fried OWNED August, and we're expecting more of the same in September. He was 4-0 and allowed just 5 earned runs over 33 innings for a brilliant 1.36 ERA. Then we swing out West and grab the Padres with Blake Snell over the Angels. Snell was another pitcher that couldn't find his groove, then August happened. He won three of four, and gave up only 7 earned over 36 innings for a skinny 1.75 ERA. And the last time out, he threw nothing but BAGELS over seven innings. And, and, AND, he DIDN'T allow a hit, not one, while posting 10 Ks. Gimme the Braves early and the Padres late, and as the great Ernie Banks would say, lets BANK TWO!
