Las Vegas - Battle of the corn, or actually, the battle for the Cy-Hawk Trophy. What? The Cy-Hawk is awarded to the winner of the game between Iowa State and Iowa. It's named after the mascots, Cy the Cardinal from I- State and Herky the Hawk from Iowa. Probably more info than you needed, but that's why we're here. We're also here to buy a live dog. Matt Campbell has done an amazing job in Ames since taking over in 2016. That first year was a 3-9 bust, but he has flipped the switch, and the Cyclones have posted back to back 8-5 records. Iowa State finally has a QB that can throw, as Brock Purdy completed 30 of 41 in the season opener. And don't get too excited about the Hawkeyes 2-0 record. They beat a Rutgers team that has posted two wins in the last 16 outings. The other win was a SO WHAT against a MAC cupcake, Miami-Ohio, that hasn't had a winning season in almost a decade. Time for the Cyclones to ramp up the atmospheric pressure and pick up the first W in this intrastate rivalry since 2014.

And if you're ready, got a three team 10-point teaser starting with Colorado. We're gonna take the Buffaloes from -4 to +6 points against Air Force. Then grab Nebraska, and drop the Cornhuskers from -14 to -4 points against Northern Illinois. Close with Arizona, and bump the Wildcats up from +2 to +12 points against Texas Tech.

On the baseball board, if you wanna try a pitcher that has allowed 3 earned runs over the last 54 innings for a RIDONKULOUS 0.50 ERA, than Jack Flaherty is your man.
