Las Vegas - Going in opposite directions. That's a perfect description of the Bengals and Steelers. These two AFC North rivals hooked up in the season opener, and Pittsburgh posted a 23-20 OT win at Cincinnati. It was THE WORST game of Joe Burrow's career. He was sacked SEVEN times and threw FOUR interceptions. After another loss, Cincy has now won five of its last seven straight up, and has covered six. They also had a week off to prepare for the Steelers. In that September game, Pitt had Mitch Trubisky at QB and now they've given the keys to the rookie, Kenny Pickett. While Pickett was pretty accurate last week (18 of 30) against the Saints, he has thrown for only two TDs, but has been intercepted EIGHT TIMES! YIKES! Steelers safety Minkah Fitzpatrick returned to practice Thursday after having an appendectomy last Saturday. Minkah was an absolute BEAST in that early game, with 14 tackles, and they said he might play today. That would be good news for a Pittsburgh team that ranks 30th in pass defense. But can he possibly be 100%? Don't think so. And speaking of beasts, RB Joe Mixon was the LION KING against the Panthers the last time out, gobbling up 153 yards and FIVE TDs! Burrow was spot on, completing 79% of his passes (22/28) and is ready to wash away the taste of that horrible first meeting. Feel like a Ragin' Cajun today and expect to get the cover with BURREAUX!
In case you're not following the time changes, note that the Chiefs/Chargers game (8:20 ET) has been moved into the late Sunday night slot, while the Bengals/Steelers (4:25 ET) has moved back to the late afternoon window.
