Las Vegas - Gotta get up early for the Bahamas Bowl between Buffalo and Liberty. Welcome to end of the bowl season. If you have survived with a few bucks in your wallet, congrats, but if you're swimming in red ink, maybe we can help. Not exactly a primo matchup in the last bowl game, but there is money on the table to scoop up. Buffalo finshed the season with an 8-4 record, closing strong with four straight wins for first year head coach Pete Lembo. They also have a kid at QB, C.J. Ogbonna, who has thrown for 11 TDs in his last three games. On the Liberty side, there have been a ton of issues with the transfer portal and opt outs. The most important is their starting QB Kaidon Salter who has already signed on the dotted line with Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes. OUCH! You've probably seen the line move from an open of Liberty -2.5 to Buffalo now -2.5 or -3. So, you know that the oddsmakers, wise guys and sharps are all reading from the same playbook. So, we're thinking that the kids from Buffalo, where they had like NINETEEN feet of snow this winter, are gonna be JACKED to get some sun and a W. CIRCLE the wagons BABY!
On the NFL board, can not possibly lay 20 points with any team, so it's a hard pass on Baltimore, but will take a look at the Bengals vs. the Steelers. This matchup is a classic example of two teams heading in opposite directions. Pittsburgh has clinched a playoff spot, but has lost three in a row and been outscored 90-40. Cincy has won and covered four in a row and Joe Burrow is putting INSANE numbers on the board. Starting with the game against the Raiders back in early November, Joe Cool has thrown 27 TDs against only five INTs and is completing 70% of his passes. That recent push is why Joe Brrr leads the NFL in TDs with 42 and passing yards with 4,641. Gimme the Bengals for the money.
