Las Vegas - Watched the first episode of 'Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty' and will have my review when I'm done with the entire show. But right now, how about the odds for the next Lakers coach. Mark Jackson is listed as the favorite at around 6/5, followed by David Fizdale at 9/2. Think Doc Rivers is gonna come back to L.A? The odds are 6/1. Nick Nurse is also 6/1, with Terry Stotts and Mike Brown both at 8/1. Quin Snyder appears to be locked in at Utah, but you can find him at 12/1. If you're looking for a couple of long shots, John Calipari is around 50/1 and Coach K is floating in the 70/1 range.
If you have not seen Ja Morant's dad go at Karl-Anthony Towns' dad, hit YouTube because it's PHENOMENAL. Guessing that they will probably have their own Manning-type cast very soon. Not interested in Ja and KAT tonight, but will swing out to the mountains and take Utah over Dallas. The Mavericks posted a 110-104 win over the Jazz in game two with Jalen Brunson scoring 41 points and Maxi Kleber hitting for 25. If you think that Brunson is gonna come close to FORTY again, lemme do a brain scan. If you think that Maxi is gonna hit 8 of 11 (73%) from downtown again, I got a stack of Benjamins that says UH UH! The only question that remains is the size of my wager. Luka Doncic is still listed as questionable, but the chatter is that he might return for game three. So, if Luka plays, we skinny-up the wager, but if Luka sits, get out the hammer baabbbeee!
