matty ice melting
Las Vegas - Pretty cool find from my boy Ed Barkowitz at Philly.com. If the Philly/Cardinals MLB series goes three games, and they play on Sunday, it will be the first time in 39 years the Phillies and Eagles both play the Cards on the same day. WOW!
On the NFL board tonight, could they find a more 'who cares' game. The Broncos come in at 2-2, 1-3 against the spread, have scored 66 points which is an average of 16.5 points per game. The Colts limp in at 1-2-1, 1-3 against the spread, and have EXPLODED, he said sarcastically, for 57 points or 14.2 per. The absolute WORST in the NFL. Both of the main running backs are gone. Indy's All-Pro Jonathan Taylor has been ruled out with a severely twisted right ankle, while the Broncs lost RB Javonte Williams to a torn ACL. So, that leaves us with a choice between Russell Wilson and Matt Ryan. Russell is struggling with his new team, hitting on a career low 61.1% of his passes. Matty Ice enjoyed a pretty solid career down in Atlanta, but it looks like he is starting to melt. Ryan has 5 TDs and 5 INTs and without Taylor carrying the mail, it's gonna be a tough night. Not thrilled with either side, but might take a position on the 2nd half if I have not fallen asleep!
