Las Vegas - Gonna lace up the skates tonight and start with an appetizer down in Texas in the opening round of the Stanley Cup playoffs. The Stars have tickled the net 285 times and allowed 218 goals. That's a PLUS 67 goal differential, and that's THE BEST in the Western Conference. Minnesota's goal differential is just +21 and we're not wild about that number. The only team with a better goal differential in the NHL is the Bruins, at, are you sitting, PLUS 128! Then we get out our passport for a trip to Canada and grab the Oilers as they host the Kings. As many of you know, my wife is in LOVE with Connor McDavid since finding out that they call him McJesus! That's NOT the reason for the pick, although it is a pretty cool nickname. The reason for the pick is that Edmonton comes ROARING into the playoffs on a gorgeous 9-0 run and has won 14 of the last 15. You could say they're EN FUEGO! They've outscored Los Angeles 5-1 the last two times out, and the Kings are kinda wobbling, losing five of the last nine. Buying Oil.
