NFL Week 14 Betting Odds

Just when you think you have the NFL figured out, the Football Gods throw you a ball high and across the middle.

A lot of bettors watched their bankrolls take a blindside hit this past weekend, especially on Oakland’s upset over San Diego and Dallas’ overtime victory against Indianapolis. And the sting of those losses is still haunting football fans, with the Colts and Chargers both giving points in Week 14.

Indy is on a short week, traveling to Tennessee to face the Titans as 2.5-point favorites on Thursday Night Football, while San Diego hosts the Kansas City Chiefs as a touchdown fave at home Sunday.

The Colts’ spread is already dancing. The public is all over Indianapolis but sharp money is hitting the home side, fading the injury-riddled Colts with limited time to recover from Sunday’s loss. The line opened at -3 in most markets and has moved to -2.5 within the first 24 hours.

The Chargers' spread has remained steady at -7, with action on both the Bolts and Chiefs. San Diego had a four-game winning streak snapped by the Raiders, who now have swept the Chargers in the season series. Kansas City is coming off a big win over Denver and is riding a three-game streak, hoping to secure a stranglehold on the AFC West.

Things are back to normal in the Big Easy. After a troubling start to the schedule, the defending Super Bowl champs are starting to play like defending Super Bowl champs. The Saints have won five straight games, going 3-2 ATS, and host the Rams on Sunday as big 9.5-point faves. Early sharp action is pushing this line to the key number of 10. Bettors can expect a huge buy-back on St. Louis once the spread gets that high.

Atlanta Falcons at Carolina Panthers (+7.5, 42.5)

It seems like sportsbooks are waiting for the other shoe to drop when it comes to the Falcons. Atlanta, which has won six straight games and sits at 10-2, is barely giving a touchdown against the NFL’s worst team. Those discounted spreads are fine with Falcons backers, who are cashing in on that lack of faith. Atlanta is 5-1 ATS on this current winning streak.
