NBA Finals Betting Headlines Week Action

It’s a rematch of the 2006 NBA Finals, but the only thing the same between that series and this year's Finals are Dirk Nowitzki on the Mavs and Dwyane Wade on the Heat.

The Heat have retooled, with LeBron James and Chris Bosh joining Wade, and they're favored in the series at 5Dimes at -175 - and they're also a 4.5-point favorite in Tuesday night's series opener.

It promises to be as intriguing as the 2006 Heat win (4-2 over Dallas) and your final chance of the season to bet the NBA.

Stanley Cup finals betting

The Stanley Cup final begins Wednesday night in Vancouver, where the Canucks will host the Boston Bruins. It's been awhile since either team last made it to the Cup final, with Vancouver back for the first time since losing to the Rangers in 1994 and the Bruins for the first time since losing to Edmonton in 1990.

The Canucks are big series favorites at 5Dimes at -235 after dismantling San Jose in the Western Conference final. The Bruins needed seven games to eliminate Tampa Bay in the East final, and they're a +195 series underdog at 5Dimes.

In Game 1 on Wednesday the Canucks are a -200 favorite, but Boston is 4-1 in their last five games at Vancouver.

Baseball betting preview

On the baseball schedule this week NL Central rivals clash when the Cincinnati Reds host the Milwaukee Brewers in a three-game series. The Reds are struggling heading into the series with a 2-8 record in their last 10 games, but that could change as they are 5-1 against the Brewers this season.

Cincinnati has won five straight at home versus the Brewers and they're 11-1 in they're last 12 at home against Milwaukee.

Other notable series on tap this week in Major League Baseball include San Francisco at St. Louis, Texas at Tampa Bay, Cleveland at Toronto, and the Yankees at Oakland.

On the international sports scene, the second Grand Slam of the tennis season concludes this week with the finals of the French Open on the weekend.

French Open tennis betting

On the men's side the top seeds are all still alive, led by No.1 seed and defending French Open champion Rafael Nadal. Nadal has won five of the last six French Open titles and the only other player to tame Roland Garros in the last six years is Roger Federer, who is still in the hunt as the No. 3 seed.

The one to watch could be No. 2 seed Novak Djokovic, who has not lost a single match this year. See all the latest tennis lines and pocket a tasty bonus at 5Dimes.com.

On the women's side the field is wide open after the top three seeds all exited early. No. 1 seed Caroline Wozniacki, No. 2 seed Kim Clijsters, and No. 3 seed Vera Zvonareva are all gone. Reigning women's champion Francesca Schiavone is still alive as the No. 5 seed, while other contenders include No. 4 seed Victoria Azarenka and No. 7 seed Maria Sharapova.
