College Football Betting: Week 5
There's a new top team in the nation as the fifth week of the college football betting season gets rolling, as LSU has taken over that coveted top spot from Oklahoma. Here's a look at the contests and betting lines for the ranked schools this week . . .
Kentucky at No. 1 LSU
The Tigers moved into the top spot in the AP Poll by blasting West Virginia 47-21 on the road over the weekend. At 5Dimes the oddsmakers think LSU will turn in a similar result at home against Kentucky, setting them as the 30-point favorites for the contest.
Ball State at No. 2 Oklahoma
The Sooners didn't impress enough in their 38-28 win at home over Missouri in Week 4 to retain the top spot in the polls heading into their matchup with Ball State. Still, Oklahoma has been pegged as the 38-point favorite at 5Dimes against the Cardinals.
No. 3 Alabama at No. 12 Florida
Alabama won its touch matchup with Arkansas by a score of 38-14 at home over the weekend, and the going won't be any easier this week as they play on the road against another ranked conference team. At 5Dimes Alabama is a 4.5-point favorite
Nevada at No. 4 Boise State
The Broncos blew out Tulsa 41-21 at home last week as Kellen Moore threw for 279 yards with four touchdown strikes and no interceptions. He'll be looking for another easy outing against Nevada, with 5Dimes listing Boise State as the 28-point favorite.
UCLA at No. 6 Stanford
Stanford dropped from No. 5 to No. 6 in this week's poll after sitting idle over the weekend; they last played on September 17 when they knocked off Arizona 37-10. The 5Dimes oddsmakers have them as 21.5-point favorites at home against UCLA.
