Weekend Sports Betting Preview

March Madness is in full swing and brings about plenty of theatre for sports betting enthusiasts who live and die by the college hoops betting season, and many compelling stories will likely be written at the tournament this weekend.

In early betting action on Friday it’s an expected thriller between No. 11 Texas and No. 6 Cincinnati in the East Region bracket. The Bearcats are labelled as a 2-point favorite for this contest at 5Dimes.

It will be a tough climb for the Longhorns with the way Cincinnati has played down the stretch, with many big wins and an appearance in the Big East Tournament championship game.

As well, Ohio is coming off a big tournament victory, but will be in tough against the favored Michigan Wolverines in another interesting college hoops betting matchup on Friday.

After a scare in the first round in which they needed a comeback to win, Syracuse will at least be battle-tested when they meet No. 8 Kansas State in NCAA tournament betting action on Saturday.

The betting action continues into Sunday with opponents yet to be determined, but eight games are on the docket.

Bettors might want to watch closely the game between San Antonio and Dallas on Saturday, with Orlando and Miami having a key betting matchup on Sunday.

There are a number of marquee games on the NHL betting menu this weekend, starting with five games on Friday. Washington and Winnipeg are fighting for the last playoff spot in the Eastern Conference and will meet on the ice on Friday.

In the Western Conference the Chicago Blackhawks are fighting to hang on to a postseason berth and meet the surging Dallas Stars that night.

With 11 games on tap Saturday for NHL bettors to choose from, there’s no shortage of options; Pittsburgh and New Jersey tangle, while Philadelphia and Boston collide, and Detroit and San Jose have a key matchup later in the night.
