The Los Angeles Lakers ran over the Denver Nuggets in the opener of their series and will look to grab a 2-0 lead in their set when those teams hit the hardwood again on Tuesday. San Antonio leads Utah 1-0 in their series and they meet again in Game 2 on Wednesday. As well, Orlando tries to go up 2-0 when they host the Pacers on Wednesday, while the Clippers try to pull off some more magic when they take on Memphis.
NBA betting fans will also be keeping an eye throughout the week on the Miami Heat vs. New York Knicks series, while Oklahoma City tries to bounce the defending-champion Dallas Mavericks out of the postseason.
The NHL playoffs are into the second round and things are heating up this week. The Flyers entertain New Jersey in Game 2 of their series on Tuesday, and Phoenix looks to take a stranglehold on Nashville on Wednesday. Los Angeles is proving its mettle against St. Louis, and that series should draw in some underdog seekers, while the Capitals continue their set against the Rangers.
Baltimore and the New York Yankees should be a series that will drive the MLB betting lines this week, while Toronto hosts a Texas Rangers club that has been spectacular on the road. Arizona vs. the New York Mets is a series that could provide plenty of action on the MLB betting lines when they tangle this weekend.
Finally, Talladega Superspeedway will host the Aaron's 499 in NASCAR betting this weekend, with Jimmie Johnson the defending champion and one of the favorites for the event. Clint Bowyer will get some attention on the Sprint Cup Series lines this week as well, as he won at Talladega last October in the Good Sam Club 500.
