Sports Betting Setup This Week
It's East vs. West in some of the top NBA betting matchups on the schedule for the early part of this week as the Association continues its march toward the playoffs. Even closer to its postseason is college basketball, with top schools and bubble teams alike looking for big victories early this week to improve their seeding for March Madness.
On the NBA hardwood the Golden State Warriors have back-to-back games on the road in the east on Tuesday and Wednesday night as they take on the Indiana Pacers and the New York Knicks. Overall the Pacers are 3-2 SU and 4-1 ATS in their last five games against the Warriors, while the Knicks are just 1-4 both SU and ATS in their past five meetings with Golden State. The Warriors, who finished in 13th place in the Western Conference last season, are sixth in those standings heading into the week.

Indiana also plays host to the Clippers on Thursday night this week, with the Pacers 3-2 both SU and ATS in their last five games against Los Angeles. The Clippers have what they hope will be a gimme game at home against lowly Charlotte on Tuesday night, although the Bobcats covered as an 8-point home underdog in their 100-94 loss to the Clippers on the NBA wagering lines at the sportsbooks back on December 12.
Top action in college basketball betting begins on Monday night as Marquette hosts Syracuse at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee. The Orange are coming off a 57-46 loss at home to Georgetown on Saturday afternoon, and they've been tagged with an ATS loss in each of their last four games against Marquette. The Golden Eagles also lost their most recent game – they were defeated 60-56 by Villanova on Saturday night.
On Tuesday on the college hardwood the Indiana Hoosiers will be on the road to play Minnesota, while Wednesday sees Georgetown on the road against Connecticut. Thursday's top games are Duke at Virginia and Gonzaga at BYU; the Bulldogs knocked off the Cougars 83-63 as a 10-point home favorite when they met in January.
Finally, early-week action on the ice includes Toronto at Philadelphia and Anaheim at Los Angeles on Monday night, with the Ducks rolling to a 7-4 win at home over the Kings in NHL betting action back on February 2. The Maple Leafs got past the Flyers 5-2 at home on February 11, which snapped their five-game losing skid vs. Philadelphia.
Those four teams are then back in action on Wednesday night, with Washington at Philadelphia, Montreal at Toronto, Nashville at Anaheim, and Detroit at Los Angeles. The Red Wings and Kings faced each other on February 10 with Detroit winning 3-2 on the NHL betting lines at the sportsbooks. Overall the Red Wings have won four of their past five games against the Kings, with the OVER/UNDER 3-1-1 in those matchups.
