Bulls to bounce Nets? Weekly Betting Preview
After needing three OTs to decide a winner in Game 4 in Chicago, the Brooklyn Nets and the Chicago Bulls will play a pivotal Game 5 in Brooklyn on Monday night in NBA playoff betting action.
The Bulls came out on top 142-134 in the triple-overtime thriller to take a 3-1 series lead and are now 6-2 SU and 5-3 ATS in their last eight games against the Nets. Brooklyn will look to extend the series as a 5.5-point favorite at home on Monday at Bovada.
Two Game 4s will also take place Monday (with lines provided by Bovada) as the Indiana Pacers (+1.5) visit the Atlanta Hawks (-1.5) and the Oklahoma City Thunder (-1.5) visit the Houston Rockets (+1.5). With Russell Westbrook lost for the rest of the postseason, Kevin Durant put the team on his back in Game 3 with 41 points to take the commanding 3-0 series lead.
The home team has won every game in this year’s Memphis Grizzlies vs. Los Angeles Clippers series, and the Clippers will look to keep that trend going Tuesday night when they host the Grizzlies as a 5-point home favorite at 5Dimes. The Golden State Warriors and Denver Nuggets also return to Denver for Game 5 in that series.
On Wednesday the Boston Celtics visit the New York Knicks for Game 5 and the Atlanta Hawks visit the Indiana Pacers for Game 5. If necessary, Oklahoma City will host Houston in Game 5 of that series. Thursday’s slate includes potential Game 6s of Denver at Golden State and Brooklyn at Chicago if either is necessary.
On the diamond, first place in the NL East will be on the line when the Washington Nationals and Atlanta Braves meet in a four-game series in Atlanta starting this Monday. Stephen Strasburg is set to take the mound for the Nationals on Monday and is a -140 favorite over Julio Teheran and the Braves (+130) at 5Dimes. Atlanta is 7-0 SU in its last seven games against the Nationals.
The Toronto Blue Jays were supposed to be atop the AL East and the Boston Red Sox were expected to be near the bottom, but so far those roles have been reversed. The two division rivals will meet in a three-game series in Toronto starting on Tuesday. Boston is 4-2 in its last six games against the Blue Jays in MLB betting action.
