Spurs look to finish off Heat in week ahead

With a 3-2 lead in the NBA Finals, the San Antonio Spurs are one win away from winning the title. However, they’ll have to pick up that win on the Miami Heat’s home court as the series shifts back to Miami for Game 6 and Game 7.

Since a close win by the Spurs in Game 1, every game in this series has been a blowout. San Antonio won by double digits in Game 3 and Game 5 in San Antonio, while Miami won by double-digits in Game 2 in Miami and Game 4 in San Antonio.

Miami has responded to losses with blowout wins all postseason long, and will look to keep that trend alive in Game 6 in Miami on Tuesday. If the Heat do win Game 6, it will all come down to Game 7 on Thursday. Miami is an early 7-point favorite at 5Dimes in Game 6.

With a win in overtime in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup final, the Boston Bruins tied up their series with the Chicago Blackhawks 1-1 heading back to Boston for Game 3 and Game 4. Game 3 will be played on Monday and Game 4 will be played on Wednesday. The series will return to Chicago for Game 5 on Saturday. On their home ice, the Bruins are a -130 favorite over the Blackhawks (+110) at Bovada.

The wide-open NL West will become a bit clearer after a three-game series between the San Diego Padres and the San Francisco Giants in San Francisco starting this Monday. Barry Zito will take the mound for the home team Monday and is a -121 favorite over Edinson Volquez and the Padres (+116) at 5Dimes.

Later in the week, two AL juggernauts will collide in a four-game series starting Thursday as the AL East leading Boston Red Sox visit the AL Central leading Detroit Tigers. Boston has enjoyed success over the Tigers in recent years with a 12-6 SU record in their last 18 meetings against Detroit. Fireworks could fly in this series as eight of the last nine games between these two teams have gone OVER the total.
