SEC, Broncos-Chargers in Spotlight for Football Bettors
There are big showdowns on the football betting schedule in both the college ranks and the pros for this week, and sports bettors should have a number of golden opportunities to cash in on the games with the wagering lines from top sportsbooks like 5Dimes.
The No. 3 Rebels of Ole Miss will have to pass another test this Saturday night on their march towards their annual season-ending clash against No. 1 Mississippi State when they face No. 24 LSU in Baton Rouge. The Tigers have been listed by 5Dimes as 3.5-point home underdogs in this SEC West showdown. The Rebels have gone 13-4 against the spread in the last 17 meetings and the total has gone OVER in four of the last five games.
The only other head-to-head matchup of ranked teams on this week’s schedule takes us to the Pac-12 for a South Division tilt between No. 20 USC and No. 19 Utah. The Trojans will go on the road as slight 1-point favorites over the Utes in a late start on Saturday night. USC is just 1-8 ATS in its last nine games as a road favorite and Utah is 10-3 ATS in its last 13 games as a home underdog.
Thursday night in the NFL should be a good one with 5-2 San Diego on the road against 5-1 Denver in a battle for first place in the AFC West. The NFL betting odds for this game on the 5Dimes current board have the Broncos listed as 7.5-point home favorites with the total set at 50.5. San Diego is a perfect 6-0 ATS in its last six road games as an underdog, while Denver is just 6-19-1 ATS in its last 26 home games against a division foe. The total has stayed UNDER in the last three meetings.
A big matchup in the NFC has the 5-1 Philadelphia Eagles on the road as 2.5-point underdogs against the 5-1 Arizona Cardinals in a matchup between two of the top teams in the conference. The total for this contest has been set at 48. The Eagles are 6-1 both straight-up and ATS in their last seven road games following a bye, but just 0-3-1 ATS in their last four games against the Cardinals.
