NBA All-Star Game on Weekend Odds Slate
NBA games are on hold this weekend as the All-Star Game and all-star competitions take center stage. The high-flying Zach LaVine is a -120 favorite to win the Slam Dunk Contest at Bovada, favored over other young guns like Giannis Antetokounmpo (+225), Victor Oladipo (+300), and Mason Plumlee (+850).
In the Three-Point Shootout Contest, Stephen Curry is a 13/4 favorite at Bovada. Kyle Korver (15/4) and Curry's teammate at Golden State, Klay Thompson (4/1), are expected to be his toughest competition. Marco Belinelli (7/1) will look to defend his title from last year in this contest while Kyrie Irving (6/1) will be looking to get back on top after winning it in 2013.
The Baylor Bears visit the Kansas Jayhawks on Saturday afternoon in an interesting matchup for both teams on the college basketball slate. Baylor picked up its first road win over a ranked opponent in a convincing 87-69 win over West Virginia last Saturday, but followed that up with an ugly 74-65 loss at home to Oklahoma State.
Kansas is 20-4 SU and 15-9 ATS on the season and looking to build some momentum heading into the NCAA Tournament. The Jayhawks are going off at 22/1 to win the NCAA Tournament at Bovada.
Other big games in college basketball on Saturday include Villanova at Butler, West Virginia at Iowa State and Duke at Syracuse.
The Boston Bruins are just 1-3 SU over their last four games since going 8-1-1 over their previous 10 games. The Bruins start a five-game road trip this Friday night against the Vancouver Canucks.
Boston is going off at even money at +100 on the road according to 5Dimes. Since meeting in the Stanley Cup final back in 2011, these two teams have had a healthy dislike of each other. The home team is 8-2 SU in the last 10 games between these two teams including that seven-game series. Vancouver is a -120 favorite at home.
The following night, Vancouver heads to Calgary to take on the Flames. Winnipeg visits Detroit on Saturday and two of the best teams in the NHL square off when the Pittsburgh Penguins visit the Chicago Blackhawks on Sunday.
