College Football Week 10 Top Odds Matchups
Three teams ranked in the Top 5 get ranked matchups in college football this week, starting with No. 3 Clemson playing host to No. 17 Florida State.
The oddsmakers at online sportsbook 5Dimes are expecting Clemson to win this one as a 12.5-point favorite. The Tigers improved to 8-0 last week with a 56-41 win over N.C. State as a 13-point favorite. Deshaun Watson was a force in the win with five touchdowns passes, while Wayne Gallman rushed for 172 yards and a TD.
Florida State defeated Syracuse 45-21 as a 16-point favorite last week. Even more impressive is that they did it without quarterback Everett Golson and running back Dalvin Cook. Both starters sat out with injuries last week and remain questionable.
Clemson enters this matchup having won 11 straight with a 7-4 record ATS. At home the Tigers are on a 14-game winning streak with a 9-5 record ATS. The Seminoles have been equally strong on the road with a 14-1 SU record in their last 15, but they were only 7-8 ATS.
Florida State has won its last three versus Clemson, but they’re 1-2 ATS and only 2-8 ATS in their last 10. At home the Tigers sport a 5-1 record both SU and ATS in their last six against Florida State.
In the SEC West this weekend top spot in the division is up for grabs when No. 4 LSU takes on No. 7 Alabama.
LSU may be ranked higher, but Alabama is a 6.5-point home favorite at 5Dimes. The Tigers are 7-0 on the season after a 48-20 win over Western Kentucky as a 16-point favorite last week. Brandon Harris had three touchdown passes in the win and Leonard Fournette rushed for 150 yards with a TD.
Alabama edged Tennessee 19-14 as a 14.5-point favorite last week. Derrick Henry paced the offense with 143 rushing yards and a pair of touchdowns. With the ATS loss the Crimson Tide dropped to 2-5 ATS on the season.
The Tide have won four in a row versus the Tigers, but they’re only 1-2-1 ATS. Over the last eight matchups between these two rivals Alabama is 6-2 SU and 3-4-1 ATS. Somewhat surprisingly the Tigers are 5-2 SU and 3-2-2 ATS in their last seven road games versus Alabama.
Finally, the other Top 25 matchup on tap this week is No. 5 TCU at No. 12 Oklahoma State. TCU is a 5.5-point road favorite at 5Dimes.
The Horned Frogs easily got past West Virginia 40-10 as 12-point chalk last week. That was TCU’s 16th straight win, during which they are 10-6 ATS.
The Cowboys have won 10 straight after defeating Texas Tech 70-53 as a 2.5-point road favorite last week. During their winning streak they are 7-3 ATS.
In their last nine games as a road favorite TCU is 9-0 SU and 3-6 ATS. The Cowboys are 2-1 SU and ATS in their last three versus TCU, but when they met up last season the Horned Frogs dominated in a 42-9 victory as a 10.5-point favorite.
