Bills Underdogs vs Jets for Thursday Night

Rex Ryan makes his first return to New York since being canned by the New York Jets as his Buffalo Bills face the Jets on Thursday Night Football.

Ryan's Bills are a middling 4-4 SU and ATS on the season but are coming off a 33-17 win over Miami as a 3.5-point favorite.

Tyrod Taylor had a light day in the win completing 11-of-12 passes for 181 yards and a touchdown. LeSean McCoy rushed for 112 yards and a touchdown before a shoulder strain ended his afternoon early. Karlos Williams turned out to be more than capable of carrying the load though with 110 rushing yards and a pair of touchdowns. Sammy Watkins also had a standout game with eight receptions for 168 yards and a touchdown.

The Jets got past Jacksonville 28-23 last week but failed to cover as a 7.5-point favorite. Ryan Fitzpatrick had a pair of touchdown passes and Chris Ivory ran in for a couple scores. Eric Decker led the Jets' receivers with six catches for 79 yards and a TD, while Brandon Marshall played through ankle and toe injuries to catch four balls for 44 yards and a TD

With McCoy listed as probable for the Bills Thursday night the Jets are a 2.5-point home favorite at online sportsbook 5Dimes. Buffalo has won their last three road games both SU and ATS. The Jets are 4-3 SU in their last seven at home, but 5-2 ATS.

Buffalo has won the last three matchups between these AFC East rivals and they covered the spread in all three wins. When the Jets are playing host in this matchup they have had the advantage lately. At home the Jets are 4-1 SU and 3-2 ATS in their last five versus Buffalo. In their last 17 home games against Buffalo the Jets are 12-5 SU and 9-8 ATS.

Being labeled the underdog hasn't been a bad thing for the Bills lately. In their last five games as the underdog the Bills are a healthy 4-1 SU and ATS. In their last nine games as the underdog Buffalo is 7-2 ATS.
