NFL Week 13 Slate: Best Betting Matchups
It’s Jets versus Giants in the battle of New York this weekend with both sides in need of a win to keep pace in the race for the postseason.
The Jets are coming off a 38-20 win over Miami as a 4-point favorite. Ryan Fitzpatrick had four touchdown passes as the Jets went OVER the posted total for the sixth time in their last seven games.
The Giants were upset by Washington 20-14 as a 1-point favorite last week. Eli Manning had two touchdowns and three interceptions as New York posted their third loss in their last four games.
The battle of New York has been dominated by the Giants recently. The Giants have won five in a row versus the Jets with a 4-0-1 ATS record. The Jets haven’t beaten the Giants since 1993, but the oddmakers at online sportsbook Bovada think that streak could finally be snapped with the Jets listed as a 2-point favorite.
The Houston Texans are challenging in the awful AFC South division and will look to pick up their fifth win in a row this week in Buffalo. At Bovada Houston is a 3-point road underdog.
Last week the Texans easily handled New Orleans 24-6 as a 3.5-point underdog. Brian Hoyer had two touchdowns and an interception as Houston also won their fifth straight ATS.
The Bills dropped to 5-6 SU and 5-5-1 ATS last week after losing to Kansas City 30-22 as a 4-point underdog. Despite the loss Sammy Watkins had a big game with six receptions for 158 yards and two touchdowns.
In their last six games the Bills are 2-4 SU and 2-3-1 ATS and home field advantage hasn’t meant much this season as they are 2-3 SU and ATS at Ralph Wilson Stadium.
Houston has won three in a row SU and ATS versus Buffalo. For totals bettors the UNDER is 5-1 in the last six matchups in this series.
The last undefeated team, Carolina, looks for their 12th straight win this weekend in New Orleans.
On Thanksgiving the Panthers routed Dallas 33-14 as a 1-point favorite. The Carolina defense delivered three interceptions, including a pair returned for touchdowns in the win.
Last week the Saints lost to Houston 24-6 as a 3.5-point favorite. That was the Saints' third straight loss both SU and ATS.
Carolina has won five in a row on the road and they’ve covered the spread in all five wins. Going back further the Panthers are 7-1 SU and 7-0-1 ATS in their last eight road games.
In Week 3 Carolina defeated New Orleans 27-22 as a 10-point home favorite. Drew Brees missed that game, while Cam Newton had three touchdowns in the win. In the rematch the Panthers are a 7-point road favorite at Bovada.
